Anyone who is looking to improve their lives through exercise, food plan and recovery and wants metrics to see that improvement. It does not matter age or activity level. If you want a better quality of life, then we are a good place to start.
What should I avoid before a DEXA scan?
You should not take calcium supplements for at least 24 hours before your exam. You should wear loose, comfortable clothing, avoiding garments that have zippers, belts or buttons made of metal. Objects such as keys or wallets that would be in the area being scanned should be removed.
How long does a DEXA scan take?
The scan usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. You'll be able to go home after you have had it done.
How do I prepare for RMR test?
  1. Don't eat or exercise 4-5 hours prior to your test.
  2. Don't drink coffee 4-5 hours prior to your test.
  3. Don't smoke or drink alcohol 2 hours prior to your test.
  4. Don't participate in vigorous/high intensity weight training 12 hours prior.
  5. Do come rested and relaxed.
How does having a high VO2 Max benefit me?
  • In terms of athletic performance, someone with a higher VO2 max will be able to perform at a high level for a longer period of time than someone with a lower VO2 max.
  • VO2 max focuses on aerobic capacity. So the person with a high VO2 max does not necessarily mean he or she can push heavier weights during resistance training or HIIT exercises and sprints.
